I WORK WITH ROBOTS THAT CAN WRITE, AND I WRITE THINGS ROBOTS CAN NOT WRITE (YET).
My work lies at the intersection of Generative Artificial Intelligence, Creativity, and Digital Innovation.
Generative Artificial Intelligence represents the culmination of my professional journey. My path began in 1998 as a web developer while still in high school. Subsequently, I transitioned into the realms of art, creativity, and marketing. Since 2019, my focus has been on technologies that generate creative content, namely, Generative AI.
In 2022, I co-founded 'Prompt Design' Italy's pioneering Generative AI course, which has since empowered over 3,500 students and provided training to dozens of companies.
My current flagship project is 'Youpiter' with its Alpha version slated for release in June 2025. It’s a micro-learning platform engineered to equip individuals with the essential skills for this new AI-driven era. Previously, in 2020, I co-founded 'Oblique.ai' a Generative AI-based agency which has since ceased operations.
I like to think of myself as a a verb, not a noun. A noun is static; it never changes. A verb, conversely, is dynamic, it shifts, evolves, at times progressing, at others regressing. My philosophy of work, as something not found or lost but constantly invented, is captured in my book 'Inventati il lavoro (Universale Economica Feltrinelli, 2017). Indeed, 'Prompt Designer' is the role I have crafted for myself.
In my latest TEDx, I talk about how to be creative in the time of robots, while my "Hacking Creativity" interview delves into the synergy between Generative AI and human ingenuity.
I am a frequent speaker and recognized expert on Generative Artificial Intelligence at industry events. Notable events where I've spoken include the Festival della Letteratura in Mantua, the Festival della Mente in Sarzana, WeMakeFuture, the Festival del Fundraising, the AI Festival, AI Forum, AI Week, and (almost) every major AI-dedicated event in Italy.
I teach innovation and entrepreneurship in the Executive MBA programs at SDA Bocconi, where I also coordinate the Entrepreneurship concentration.
In my book L'Impresa Concentrica (McGraw-Hill, 2016), I propose a business model, also featured in HBR Italia, designed to reduce costs, increase margins, and enhance customer value.
My blog hosts over 1,500 posts spanning a diverse array of topics, from labor dynamics to sustainability. I am the author of three essays and a uchronic novel entitled 'T.E.R.R.A.'.
For many years, I served as an art curator (underground) driven by the mission to democratize art and ensure its accessibility for all to enjoy. In 2006, I co-founded Art Kitchen and later Artlane, which was subsequently acquired by the Lombardini22 group.
With my partner Laura, I have two children with whom I share my many passions, from Lego to History.
While LinkedIn is my sole social media platform, I pride myself on being a 'zero-inbox' virtuoso. Therefore, email remains the most effective way to reach me.
Each Friday morning, I release 'CORRENTE' an Italian-language newsletter that dissects contemporary phenomena, with a keen focus on Generative Artificial Intelligence.
